Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Forrest

Dr. Krummel, "Frosty," was installed as our pastor on February 5, 2006. He graduated from Butler University, Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and McCormick Theological Seminary (with a Doctorate in Ministry). Prior to serving First Federated Church, Frosty was Head of Staff at First Presbyterian Church in Burlington, Iowa, for 10 years. Frosty and his wife, Sue (The Rev. Sue Davis Krummel), have two adult daughters—Katherine Krummel Degner and Anni Krummel—and three grandchildren. []

Associate Pastor, Rev. Daren Hofmann

Rev. Hofmann, Daren, was installed as a pastor of our church on July 22, 2007. Daren graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2007. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Illinois College in Jacksonville. Prior to seminary, he taught high school mathematics in Burlington, N. C. for four years. His wife, Sarah, holds a Masters degree in Mathematics and teaches at Peoria Notre Dame High School. They have one child, James. []

Director of Youth Ministries, Amy Sabbert O'Brien

Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and Master of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary. Her ministry began in St. Louis where she was Assistant Chaplain of the St. Louis City Jail and Caseworker for St. James Neighborhood House. She served as Youth Director for First Christian Church in Norman, Oklahoma, and Director of Christian Formation for Rincon United Church of Christ in Tucson, Arizona. Amy’s husband, Dr. Mathew O’Brien, is a Marketing Professor at Bradley University. They have two children, Hannah and Spencer. []

Director of Children’s Ministries, Kim Snarr

Kim became a member of First Federated church in 1993 and joined our staff as Director of Children’s Ministries in 2004. She grew up in Peoria, graduated from Richwoods High School, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois. Kim then married her high school sweetheart and together they have three children. []

Director of Music, Dr. Brian Russell

Dr. Brian Russell is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music (M.Mus. and D.M.A.) and Middle Tennessee State University (B.A.). He is an Instructor of Music at Illinois Wesleyan University. Brian and his wife, Patience, have two children: two-year-old Cadence and seven-month-old Chase.

Office Manager, Lisa Hoepker

Lisa brings her strong people and leadership skill to the office management position at First Federated Church, a job she has held since 1998. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University and is married with two daughters.

Director of Preschool Programs, Debbie Allen

Debbie has served as director of our preschool programs for nearly 20 years, gaining a reputation for excellence and beloved by parents and children alike. She is a St. Louis native and graduate of the University of Missouri. She and her husband Bill have three adult children.

Nursery Supervisor, Kirsten Hansen

Kirsten supervises our Sunday morning and special events nursery program. She graduated from Beloit College with degrees in International Relations, German and Women Studies. Since 1999 she has worked in the business office at Methodist Medical Center. When asked about the nursery she replies, “I enjoy getting to know our members’ children and watching them grow!” We are blessed by her ministry.
