At FFC we are committed to providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment from birth through high school. Our goal is to partner with parents to provide an exciting faith-based experience through which children & youth grow in God’s love. Beyond our Sunday school and youth groups, we also host a number of family-friendly events in order to connect parents and families.
But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”
Vacation Bible School
Each summer in July we offer a fun-filled evening Vacation Bible School program for preschoolers through 5th grade where kids learn that God’s love can be, and is, awesome! They enjoy nightly meals, outdoor games, incredible music, art projects, and learn of the power of mission and service. Junior and Senior High School students along with adults are also involved as leaders and helpers.
We would love to have you and your children visit our Peoria church and Sunday school at any time. Feel free to contact Kristen with any questions that you may have!

Our Sunday school classes are taught by a dedicated team of group leaders whose goal is to help students learn about Jesus’ teachings and to walk along with students in their faith’s journey.
Through a living partnership between the ministry of the church and the ministry of the home, First Federated Church strives to help children & youth develop so that they come to know, share, and serve God.
Children (preschool-5th grade)
We offer weekly Sunday school classes for children of preschool age through 5th grade. Each week, children learn of a “core virtue” such as respect, trust, or responsibility, emphasized by a select Bible story. After a class presentation of the story, children then separate into smaller groups to discuss what the story and virtue mean in the context of their own lives.
Sunday school meets during the 10 a.m. worship service. Children begin in worship with their families, then depart for Sunday school following the Children’s Message.
Younger children (0-2 years)
we have a nursery managed by two loving staff members who play, read, and care for them during worship. The nursery is available during the entire 10 a.m. Worship Service and select events.
All children are also welcome to remain in worship with their families!
