Missions

"Missions", or serving, at First Federated Church means giving our time and our resources to better the lives of those in need in our community and our world.

As a congregation we have a culture of caring and supporting mission causes with our time and resources. Examples include Rebuild Peoria Together, Habitat for Humanity and Reading Buddies in a local elementary school. A little over half of our annual mission budget supports those in need in the Peoria area. Globally we support the work of specific agencies and the greater Church.

Additionally, First Federated Church collects four special mission offerings each year: One Great Hour of Sharing, World Communion Sunday, Pentecost, and the Christmas Offering. Two of these offerings are designated for local and two for global mission work.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.
Galatians 6:10
